Big Narstie has been an influential figure from the early 2000’s creating a variety of EP’s and mixtapes, such as What’s the story Brixton Glory part 1 which was released in 2008. He also released a follow up of that mixtape called what’s the story Brixton glory part 2 in 2014. However between those two projects he released several other projects which highlight’s how active he is within music, providing his fan base which a vast amount of exceptional music.

Big Narstie highlights the fact that all his success comes from sticking to his beliefs rather than changing his act in order to appeal to a mass market, in order to receive a large pay out from a commercial record label. I believe this was integral to his success as his fans value his honesty and realistic lyrics, as we all heard in his latest fire in the booth, which was released on the 15th of October 2016. Within 14 hours it has “21,111” views this is an exceptional amount of views as you see some Fir

e in the booths reach this margin months after its release, this highlights how significant Big Narstie is within Music. He also has two other fire in the booths, his second one has almost one million views this is an exceptional amount of views which showcases how far Big Narsties’ content reaches.

He is also an iconic Agony aunt under the name of Uncle Pain, which is a series created by himself and Lordie the owner of GrimeReport TV. This sets Big Narstie apart from every other iconic figure within the music scene, as he excels in various aspects of entertainment not just music, this results in his fan base having a variety of content to watch and admire. His hilarious personality allows him to reach a larger target audience which ultimately increases his success. However I personally believe nothing he does is motivated towards increasing views or his financial state, he loves what he does and so does his array of fans, his fan base will constantly grow due to his likeable nature and exceptional amount of talent.

Big Narstie is an inspiration to every aspiring entertainer, he is living proof you don’t have to conform to generic stereotypes associated within music to succeed. If you create music or any other form of entertainment that you enjoy you will succeed. Succeeding doesn’t revolve around money it revolves around self-actualisation, if you are satisfied by the content you create nothing else matters, because you will enjoy what your doing so you will be content rather than always chasing more money. Money is infinite you will never have the maximum amount so you will always be looking for that extra zero.

Big Narstie influenced me personally when I was contemplating creating my own blog, I was worried that I may receive an abundance of criticism this worried me as I was consumed by my insecurities. I then remembered a variety of uncle pain videos and interviews with Big Narstie which instilled the message do what you want as its your life to enjoy. It made me realise as long as I stay true to myself creating content I enjoy, I will believe I have personally succeeded as I will always want to create more content. The amount of money I or any other aspiring entertainer receives is irrelevant as long as we enjoy what we are doing.
