Lotes has being putting in work for years providing music fans with top quality content, showcasing UK’s emerging talent on his iconic platform BlackBox. Artists such as Potter Payer, Berna and J Hus started their careers by shutting down their freestyles. Lotes understands that an artist’s content doesn’t have to conform to stereotypes if he believes someone’s talented he puts them on helping them achieve the success they deserve.

The BlackBox channel was created April 13th 2010 so in over 6 years the channel has accumulated 11,388,093 views, this is an amazing accomplishment. Lotes has allowed various underground artists to begin their quest to success on a channel that millions of people across the globe watch. This is amazing for the scene as this channel alongside various others such as SBTV and GRM daily are allowing the music we all love and listen to daily to reach a global platform increasing the likelihood of artist’s success.

Lotes blessed us all with one of the best Christmas presents, a 26 track project with iconic collaborations with artists such as Potter Payper and Big Watch. Alongside artists I’ve never heard of before I’m also able to widen my knowledge of the scene, listening to a variety of artists all with different styles and approaches to the music scene. Each track on the project is different but every track still encaptivates me, I can’t stop listening to this incredible collection of top quality tracks. Lotes is the reason I found artists I listen to everyday the first piece of content I heard from Berna was his BlackBox freestyle which has accumulated 468,470 views in 5 months as well as receiving countless positive reaction videos from a variety of different countries. Now every day I listen to Berna waiting for more content, when you find an artist you relate to their content is almost addictive you can’t stop listening because their content touches you forcing you to establish a personal connection with the artist wanting them to succeed.

My favorite track from Gift Rap has to be No comment by Trix, Trix is an artist I’d never heard of before but I guarantee I’m going to follow his musical journey from now on and that’s thanks to Lotes. We all need to understand the fact Lotes is a pioneer for the scene, the work he’s doing alongside his BlackBox team is immense and will only benefit the scene. We should be thanking them for the enigmatic effect they’ve had on the careers of many artists we glorify today.
