Avelino future icon? I believe so.

Avelino is an artist we should all admire, the talent he possesses is rare he reminds me of artists such as Wrech 32 and Potter paper purely because his content allows me to take in his lyrics from a first-hand perspective thus allowing me to visualise his content thus creating a personal connection between me and his vivid lyrics.

His unique voice allows him to stand out in a saturated industry, so his outstanding content combined with his unique voice has resulted in one of the most iconic young artists within our scene. The fact he’s so young is astonishing he hasn’t even hit his prime yet his content is constantly developing and improving, so imagine the calibre of content he will be releasing five years from now… that there should fill any music fan with an uncontrollable sense of excitement, we are lucky enough to witness the growth of one of the top talents of our generation that’s priceless. Years from now we’ll be reading about Avelino receiving Grammy’s so take the time to take in his content and follow the astonishing journey he is on.

Each time I listen to an Avelino track I take in another lyric, finally beginning to understand his pun’s such as “it’s either blow like fuse or get a cab to OD G.” The lyrical word play is outstanding combining his unique gift with recognisable topics, allowing a mass audience to relate to his content thus paving the way for future success. His content will be generally accepted within society rather than being supressed, as the general public are able to relate to some of his more recognisable puns. Whereas the majority of underground Rap and Grime isn’t, as the generic topics associated with these genres are seen in a negative light due to the abundance of false connotations associated with them. In no way am I stating that Avelino’s content doesn’t reference raw topics such as Drug’s and death, I’m purely sating his use of mainstream topics has allowed him to establish a wider loyal fan base than some other artists who have chosen to focus on the darker side of life which anchors the idiocy of our generation just because an artist’s content highlights negatives doesn’t mean the artist is any less talented than someone who focuses on happiness.

The last thing I have to say within this article is you would be daft to overlook this young London based artist, there is no limit to how far Avelino can go in this industry I totally believed him when he stated “I’m tryna Mobo to the brits I need me a Grammy Family.” This obvious wordplay references his desire for various awards, which I guarantee he will receive as he is constantly improving which is outstanding especially as he is already superior to the majority of the scene. He is constantly providing us with top quality tracks such as Youniverse from his project F.Y.O, and my personal favorite Ring the alarm featuring himself and Tiggs Da author on New Gen’s Album which is out on the 27th of January 2017 pre-order that now if you love top quality music.
