As I normally do I go through my twitter looking for new video’s, BlackBox always provide exceptional content so I clicked on the link realising I recognised Jamzy from Leeds. Instantly engaged due to the fact he comes from my town I click play on the video, nothing could have prepared me for how talented this man is I’m sat here reloading his freestyle for the fifth time.

His content is heartfelt you can feel every lyric, the emotional relationship he is able to establish with his listeners will be a key factor of his imminent success. His lyrical ability is far superior to his young age, his honesty is admirable he doesn’t Rap about topics to increase his image he uses his talent as a way to express his feelings and passion.

I wish I'd have taken Jamzy in sooner, his content is raw yet his flow is smooth which results in Jamzy being one of my favourite underrated rappers within the scene. The more I focus on the Leeds music scene the more talent I find. I never really considered Leeds as a musically talented city, which should only anchor how ignorant I must have been.

Shortly after listening to Jamzy’s BlackBox, I contacted him asking him whether or not he had any musical projects I couldn’t get enough of his raw talent. Luckily he has an EP on SoundCloud called Yours sincerely, which consists of 6 top quality tracks with collaborations with various artists such as Harris Hameed who's vocal range is phenomenal. The Hip Hop vibe within this project is infectious, I'm already catching myself reciting his lyrics in class. The instrumental choice also played a huge factor in the quality of this project, every instrumental suits his voice and flow anchoring his talent and meeting the expectations of his fans.

When speaking to Jamzy what struck me most was his humble nature, he appreciates every single piece of support he receives and just wants to provide his growing fan base with more exceptional content.

I'm predicting big things for this Young Leeds based artist, 2017 is going to be a year we all remember the name Jamzy I guarantee that. You all need to be ready for his next project Wordsmith, the title is obviously implying the project will consist of amazing lyrical content which should only excite you all. Personally I believe he can become Leeds answer to Avelino, I can’t wait to Jamzy fulfil his immense potential follow his journey now support the cause don’t just listen to him when he receives global fame.

I want to big up Lotes and the whole BlackBox team, you are pioneers for all these young artists you allow them to take that first pivotal step.
