The problem has returned Stormzy dropped the first track of his highly anticipated album “Gang signs and prayer.” The track itself is called “BIG FOR YOUR BOOTS” and it definitely lived up to the immense reputation Stormzy has built for himself. In just over twenty four hours Stormzy has accumulated 1,116,561 views 57,000 likes and 6,000 comments, all on his personal YouTube channel which has 358,580 subscribers.
I want to anchor how iconic Stormzy is as an artist, so I accumulated the amount of views he has received on his personal channel. I realised I had underestimated how prolific Stormzy has become within our scene, because when I finally realised the amount of views he had received I was in awe. He has received 109,946,182 views on the 41 videos he has posted on his personal channel that is an amazing accomplishment for any artist to receive, never mind a 23 year old rapper who has decades of life left for him to grow and develop his craft. Imagine the accomplishments he is going to achieve in years to come if he is already accomplishing such enigmatic things now.
Now to discuss the track list of one of if not the most highly anticipated album of recent years, personally I am most excited for the following tracks; Bad Boys featuring Ghetts and J Hus which I believe will become one of the most iconic trio’s on a track to have ever blessed the scene. Mr Skeng just automatically screams banger and finally Cigarettes & Cush featuring Kehlani. In no way am I stating that the rest of the tracks are going to be terrible because I think we all know Stormzy is unable to create sub satisfactory content, I am purely specifying my potential favourite tracks.
I believe Stormzy will receive another top 10 track and his album will definitely become a number 1 album for numerous weeks. Stormzy will cement his place in history as one of the best, I can honestly see him winning Grammy awards his attention to detail and exceptional amount of talent will result in an infinite amount of success for this 23 year old Rapper mark my words.
