Nines dropped his highly anticipated One Foot Out, after signing a contract with XL recordings the internet went crazy constantly asking when he was going to drop his album. My twitter has been filled with the same question for months now, I genuinely cannot remember a day in the last few months that I didn’t see someone ask or speak about Nines imminent album.
So you can imagine my surprise last night when an image came out of nowhere showcasing a billboard which was advertising Nines album, my phone went crazy I don’t believe there was a single platform that didn’t post the image. Nines and the New Gen and XL team are excellent at manipulating the market; their use of surprise will play an integral role within the imminent success of One Foot Out.
Generally I discuss my favourite track of the album I discuss however each track I Listen to becomes my favourite, I expected “High Roller” FT J Hus to be my favourite track as I haven’t stopped Vybzing to that song since its release. However every single track on the album is different thus creating its own standard, no track can be compared as they all allow me to experience different vibes and emotions. Nines has created a masterpiece that will be remembered for eternity we will place this album in the same bracket as that of “Let em ave it” “Black listed” and “Blam!”
One lyric sticks out to me specifically within the whole album, which is “cus all I used to do is unwrap packets now I’m bout to be in da 50% tax bracket.” Now I’m not going to go into what the lyrics mean, I know we all understand them but the way he is showcasing where he has come from and what he has accomplished should inspire us all. We can achieve anything no matter what background you come from your talent and passion will allow you to succeed.
This article has been overdue for way too long, however I needed to ensure that this article paid tribute to the enigmatic content Nines dropped. After One Foot Out debuted #2 in the UK album charts and spent 8 days to date in the UK album charts, I can’t wait to witness what’s next for Nines I can only see him develop and progress within the scene. So watch out Nines isn’t going to stop this year I’m expecting bigger and better things Global success is imminent mark my words.
