Section Boyz came through with an exceptional body of work last night, dropping a lucrative 19 track mixtape titled Soundcheck. If the vast array of tracks is an insight into the level of content they are going to drop this year then 2017 is going to be a year to remember for this group of young men. The vibe they are able to create is exceptional, so much so that countless artists have tried and failed to copy their style. I want to clarify this on behalf of music fans globally, we all realise when artists copy styles and flows so please respect the listeners and the artists (section Boyz in this case) by finding your own style.
Now none of us should be surprised by the exceptional level of content that features on this project. Section Boyz are two time MOBO winners and have dropped tracks such as Lock Arf and Banter, so we are all clearly aware of their exceptional talent. However I believe this mixtape will receive global appreciation due to the positive place the scene is in right now, I give it a week before America and other iconic countries take this project in we shall be seeing an abundance of “ Americans listen to Section Boyz” videos on YouTube. Which I believe is great for the group and the scene as a whole as the music we all love is finally reaching a global platform consistently rather than the irregular track or artists receiving global recognition.
Generally within a group there are artists that stand out, then talent surpasses the rest of the collective however within Section Boyz they are all top quality artists and combing their individual talent only heightens their immense potential. I believe they can become global super stars their work rate and consistent content forces people to take notice, it is physically impossible for as group of such high quality artists to be ignored. Providing their listeners with 19 tracks at such high quality is an exceptional accomplishment in itself and the fact it’s free should make you all cherish such a phenomenal piece of content and become uncontrollably excited at the thought of an album. Imagine the powers they are going to release on an album, trust me history is in the making number 1 albums, plaques global tours these immense accomplishments are all realistic ambitions for this young group and I guarantee they accomplish all of that before 2018 mark my words.
Now my favourite track has to be fivers and tenner’s produced by Z Dot and Krunchie, the instrumental is exceptional yet it doesn’t distract you from the heavy vibe each artist is dropping with each bar they spit. Which has actually happened to other artists I remember listening to an artist’s track, the instrumental was outstanding whereas their lyrical content was rather disappointing so I began to vibes to instrumental and subconsciously begin to ignore their lyrics as if they were just a noise in the background. However I can guarantee that isn’t the case within any of the 19 tracks within this tremendous mixtape so my advice to you is if you haven’t listened to it already go onto GRM Daily’s website and do it now find the largest speak in your house turn it up to full volume and skank. As per usual Swift dropped another cold hook I can honestly say I have never heard a poor quality hook from swift which is an exceptional accomplishment in my opinion as I have listened to the majority of Section Boyz content and he is still able to impress me.
Big up Swift, Littlez, Inch, Sleeks, Deeppee and Knine this mixtape bangs and personally I am unbelievably excited to witness the content you have for us all this year.
